Add the upload field
- Create a form in YetiForm and add a file upload or image field.
- Choose accepted file types and a size limit appropriate for the form and your plan.
- Explain what to upload, using the label and description rather than relying on a generic button.
- Publish and test with an allowed file, a disallowed type, and a file over the limit.
Review the submission
Open the response in the submissions dashboard, select the uploaded file, and use the preview lightbox or download control. Keeping the file attached to a submission makes it easier to understand who sent it and why.
Send collaborators to the right place
If the form logs to Google Sheets, the file value can point to the stored asset. Share the Sheet only with people who need it, and review what access the asset URL grants before using a Sheet as a broad distribution channel. Avoid requesting sensitive documents unless your workflow is designed for them.
Know which connection supports uploads
The YetiForm builder supports upload fields. Its external-form endpoint, used to connect an already-built HTML form, currently accepts named text answers only. Use a YetiForm-built form and its embed when file uploads are required.
