How to add a multi-step form to Squarespace

A multi-step form can split a long request into a few clear screens. On a Squarespace site, one practical route is to build the form in YetiForm and embed it where you would otherwise place a single long form block.

Plan the steps before building

  1. Put easy questions first, such as name and contact details.
  2. Group related questions together so each step has one purpose.
  3. Keep the final step focused on review or any remaining details; make the submit button's meaning clear.
  4. Write a short success message that confirms what happens next.

Build and embed it

  1. Create a form in YetiForm, add another step, and place fields on each step.
  2. Preview the Back and Next controls, required-field messages, and final success state.
  3. Publish the form and copy its embed snippet.
  4. Add a Squarespace Code Block to the page, paste the snippet, save, and test the public page on a phone and desktop.

Check your Squarespace plan

Squarespace says JavaScript in Code Blocks is available on Core, Plus, Advanced, and some legacy plans. If your plan does not support the script, use the hosted YetiForm link or check whether an upgrade makes sense before promising an inline embed.

Make the result useful

After publishing, use the submissions dashboard to check responses and views. You can connect a Google Sheet, send an email, or add a webhook action when the form needs to feed another workflow. Test the actual published page: some code blocks may look different while you are logged into Squarespace.
